Learning outcomes:
A graduate of the subject acquires knowledge of the latest cybernetic (intelligent, informational and managing) principles and technologies introduced into different types of industry or human life. The student will get an overview of the benefits of individual industrial revolutions, with an emphasis on the fourth industrial revolution. Understand concepts and contexts such as, cloud systems, IoE (Internet of Everything) and IoT (Internet of Things). They understand the penetration, synergy, ecosystem of these piles into the various industries and life sectors (cloud manufacturing, smart IoT, smart city, smart home, smart automation). Student will know the development of industrial networks (ASi, DeviceNet, ProfiBus, ...), used by industry protocols, eg. industrial Ethernet, OPC, DDE, ODBC, MQTT, ... or wireless technologies (e.g., bluetooth, wifi, NFC). The graduate recognizes state-of-the-art architectures and applications of intelligent information management systems. It gets an overview of the deployments of cloud systems (MS Azure, Wonderware, Rockwell automation, IBM Bluemix, big data) and intelligent systems applications (robotics, computer vision, machine intelligence, control systems).
