Level of study:
Prerequisites:
Course completion requirements:
Assessment and completion of the course: Graded credit test
Continuous assessment:
Electrical engineering - test, health and safety - test and assignment, TD - search, drawing mechanical part, drawing electrical diagram and test.
Final assessment: Student passes the final assessment and passes the examination when he or she meets the requirement to obtain at least 51% out of 100%.
final test
Overall assessment: Overall assessment is the sum of the assessments obtained by students in the assessment period. The overall result is determined in accordance with the internal regulations of the Technical University in Košice. (Study Regulations, the internal regulation principles of doctoral studies)
Learning outcomes:
Masters the basic methods of solving unidirectional circuits. The student will gain advanced knowledge of safety regulations regarding electrical installations in civil engineering. It controls the principles of protection against electric shock, requirements for electrical installation in terms of fire protection, regulations for safe work on electrical equipment and the principles of providing first aid in the event of an electric shock.
Student with the basic rules of creating technical documentation (TD) in electrical engineering, standards for creating TD and gaining practical skills in drawing electrical drawings using CAD.
Brief course content:
- Topology of electrical circuits. Ohm's law. Kirchhoff's laws. Connection of resistors.
- Real voltage and current sources. Transfiguration of resistors connected to star and to triangle. Circuit solution by gradual simplification of the scheme. Solution of electrical circuits by direct application of Kirchhoff's laws.
- Principle of superposition, compensation, reciprocity.
- Alternative source theorems (Thevenin's theorem, Norton's theorem).
- Effects of electric current on the human body and first aid in case of accidents.
- Protection against electric shock principles, conditions.
- Basic regulations for operation and work on electrical installations and equipment.
- Technical standardization. Protection of industrial law.
- Electrical marks and electrical diagrams.
- Types of construction documents, general requirements for technical drawings.
- Drawing drawings of mechanical parts.
