Assessment and completion of the course: Credit test and examination
Continuous assessment: Student passes the continuous assessment and receives credits when he or she meets the requirement to obtain at least 21% out of 40%.

Overall assessment: Overall assessment is the sum of the assessments obtained by students in the assessment period. The overall result is determined in accordance with the internal regulations of the Technical University in Košice. (Study Regulations, the internal regulation principles of doctoral studies)
Learning outcomes:
The student will acquire basic knowledge about managing software projects, managing their resources and processes. The student will use simulations, practical exercises and calculations reach a higher level of understanding of processes and their management in the software development. Students will acquire the knowledge about the planning process and the evaluation of the quality of the resulting software product. After successful completion of this course the student should understand the basic problems of managing software projects, their resources and processes and should be able to accept and apply the basic principles for successful solving SW projects.
Brief course content:
1. Introduction to project management, methods and tools of project management.
2. Classical and agile models of life cycle of software systems.
3. Planning of software projects, tools for estimation use of resources.
4. Software teams and team work.
5. Resource management.
6. Management of design of software systems, processes and tools.
7. The management of the implementation of SW systems, planning versions and configurations.
8. Management of software testing.
9. Management of documentation and management.
10. Retrospective - analysis and improvement of software process management of future projects.
11. The classic approach to project management.
12. Agile approach to project management.
